Our unique Axilock Fire Proof Coupling has a new, patented, internal fire sleeve, made with layers of technologically advanced fire proof material. This sleeve is easily capable of withstanding temperatures far beyond the current test requirement of 800 degrees.
Having survived a simulated Hydrocarbon fire the Teekay Axilock Fire Proof Coupling remains leak free at a pressure of 32 bar, and the patented multi seal gasket remains unaffected.

Teekay Couplings supplied its first generation patented fire-protected pipe couplings to the Queen Elizabeth Class Aircraft Carriers - the largest vessels in the Royal Navy.
The Axilock-FP Pipe Couplings joined pipes in a range of materials, avoiding the need for flanging, grooving, threading or welding. The use of Teekay Couplings considerably reduced the space, weight, time and cost of the pipework system.
Teekay Axilock-FP Pipe Couplings comply with shock and fire protection requirements for use on Naval vessels and are fully compliant with current IACS regulations.
'Having been introduced to the second generation Axilock–FP coupling from Teekay, it was very interesting to see how the technology of the internal fire sleeve has been developed.
It was good to understand that the focus on the quality and value of the product’s predecessor has been maintained, alongside other features such as the small overall footprint and the multiseal gasket.'
