Joined-up thinking at 20 Fenchurch Street

Designed by world-renowned architect Rafael Viñoly, 20 Fenchurch Street is visually distinctive, and designed for maximum efficiency with a density for all services of 1 person per 8 sq m.

Developed by a joint venture partnership between two of the UK’s leading property companies, Canary Wharf Group and Land Securities Group PLC, 20 Fenchurch Street provides 690,000 sq ft of top quality offices with unrivalled panoramic views of London.

The project aims for a BREEAM environmental rating of ‘excellent’, which will put it among the greenest office buildings in the City of London.

As part of the drainage package, Teekay Pipe Couplings were selected for key connections on cast iron, galvanized steel and copper pipework. This involved joining pipework of different pipe OD sizes. The Teekay Stepped pipe coupling was selected for its proven reliability and excellent reputation within the industry. Teekay supplied couplings and flange adaptors that were made bespoke for the project.

Neil Taylor, Sales Director at Teekay Couplings comments, “20 Fenchurch Street is another valuable addition to our construction references in London. With increased demand for “fit-and-forget” products, the reliability of the Teekay Coupling is proving to be ever more desirable as a primary-fit pipe connection in buildings.”

Cormac MacCrann, Executive Director of Canary Wharf Contractors Limited, concludes:

“We are delighted to be working with Teekay Couplings at 20 Fenchurch Street. We have made great progress in delivering the project and are on time and on budget. Teekay Couplings’ contribution will be invaluable to the ultimate success of London’s newest skyscraper.”
